There is a big difference there. The Federal Government actually want to put a team in PNG and are willing to spend the money for the NRL to do it.

The AFL are actually forcing and bullying the Tasmanian government to pay for a new stadium in Tasmania when there there are already perfectly good venues available to use for games.

All based on Gruens report which ignores most of the benefits and then loads up on any concievable negatives. Including the money that people will spend interstate when they travel to see the team play outside of Tasmania, the lost revenue to old stadiums that wont be used any more, the entire cost of the AFL team to the Government - and all as expenses to be considered stadium expenses. Oh and "this just isnt suitable for hobart".
