Re: Canadians like Rugby League a lot more than Chinese like AFL.
Expansion in Sports is very hard, but there has usually been a reason why sports have expanded..
Cricket, Rugby Were expanded through alot of Commonwealth Nations.
and played in Universities..
Rugby League happened at a later date and was not played in Universities
so they are behind the ball ...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
This meltdown is off the charts!!!
How on earth do we let QLD v NSW get the better of our minds like this?? Every year!!!
Nobody gives a fuck, obviously.
I know you want us to care about origin as much as you do, as if it plagues us or something, but it doesn't. Your little mate biting at ...

Re: Fight Club - Football Crowds
i recan the crowd of 7400 for Suns game in Townsville was quite good, it was a small stadium capacity 10k
for a two teams playing away..
but i agree especially for the SUNS>> they should be playing as many Home Games as possible.

Re: Is State of Origin more important than Afl finals footy inWA?
Comparing fortnightly games to a one of marquee event. Desperate much.
i think he is comparing a rugby league game... yes being Origin football, but a rugby league event
NSW v QLD in Perth rating this high..
If we compare the Swans for example are lucky to get 40k Average in Sydney per game ...

Re: Fight Club - Football TV Ratings
Friday Night NRL TV
Knights v Bulldogs
National: 737,000
Nine/GEM: 509,000 (5 City: 292,000 / Regional: 217,000)
Fox League : 228,000
Look at that regional figure, so close to that Metro..
(AFL numbers to come>> looks to be over 1 million)

Re: the realities of the future and expansion according to Gould!
Phil Gould is a bright man,
though he does say some strange things, and that are not totally correct.
He loves the Game and i agree with him, the Game is not being Run Properly..
hes passion bleeds League and it comes out when he talks..
(lets Pick some well known guys in AFL)
Example Eddie ...

Re: Canadians like Rugby League a lot more than Chinese like AFL.
it still quite amazes me, that they are in DIV 2 and they are getting the crowds..
cannot wait for the Canadian Derby teams to clash and see the interest it gathers

Re: Rugby League internationals still to come in 2019!
Fiji Beat Samoa
N.Z Beat G.B >> got to say Great Britain have been quite disappointing
and the Upset of the 21st Century in R.L Tonga defeated Aus (WOW just WOW)
International League getting better by the year... since the focus and planning started a few years ago
