AFL will be watching the NRLs Las Vegas exhibition game very closely just like they did with Magic Round.

Which is the best football code? Here you can have it out with other football fans.

No that's fake news. All players were getting paid before the Covid pandemic. It all went down hill when the pandemic hit because they could not honour their contract to the super league

As for Rugby League going backwards in North America. It could go a thousand miles backwards and it will always be doing better than AFL in North America.
Like I said before, there is not one overseas country where AFL is doing better than Rugby League.

AFL has nothing lol.. No professional clubs outside Australia despite being the older sport. You even had a head start and have failed to capitalize in every way at growing your sport at an international level.
China AFL FAIL :(/
New Zealand AFL FAIL   =D

Meanwhile Rugby League has a whole second professional League the UK as well as teams in NZ and France. Then we have a PNG team in QLD cup too.

What has AFL got outside Australia bro? Absolutely Nothing. Hockey is more international than AFL :(/
Yep
Is just a lemon sport

🍋 = AFL
I am not interested in it being an international sport…Australian Rules it is and Australian Rules it should stay.
However, there are far more australian rules clubs and leagues in the US than Rugby League. Amatuer, yes, but far more.

And the wolfpack were gone, well before they left.

There aren't even any venues or grounds AFL can be played on.
The culture of AFL would never resonate with Americans or Canadians. There is not one element of the sport they could relate to.
Different shape playing grounds.
Different goals.
Weird rules like being able to drop the ball and play on as well as a point for missing or hitting the side post.

Rugby League at least has similarities to Gridiron which is played professionally in Canada & the U.S.

The AFL would never have been able to set up a club like the Wolfpack and have regular fans going to the games.

Is only a 1 nation sport with no appeal for any other countries.

I actually know you are jealous of the NRL playing games in Vegas. Because you know and we all know the AFL won't be able to do the same.
Jealous of the NRL….why?
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.

because of what he said you fumbling tosspot

your sad little pathetic game was invented to keep cricketers fit during winter ... it had .. no other purpose
it cannot be played on fields other then cricket ovals & if it is , it is severely compromised ... it ;looks even stupider then it usually does

hes completely right

where would a game of fumbles & stumbles be played in Vegas ?

The Australian Football League has announced plans for international regional championships to be played in 2024.

Three events – the Asia Cup, Pacific Cup and Trans-Atlantic Cup – will be the first AFL-sanctioned international championships since 2017 and will each comprise open male and female divisions. The Pacific Cup will also include under 18 male and female divisions.

The Trans-Atlantic Cup will be conducted in North America in August 2024, with the other two competitions to follow in November. The Pacific Cup will be held in Australia while the Asia Cup will be conducted at a location in that region. Further details about the three events will be announced once confirmed.

The AFL International Cup was first staged in 2002 and held every three years through to 2017. The 2020 event was cancelled because of the pandemic and last year the AFL announced that the 2023 edition would not be held as the game continued its recovery from two years of disruption. The focus shifted to the best and most appropriate way to get international competition going again in 2024.

yawn

the USAFL has been around since 1997 and strictly limits Australian expat involvement in its 18 a side teams. National teams from the USA, Canada and the UK are not allowed to have expat players in them at all.

But yes it is amateur and played in parks and stuff. The advent of Major league cricket over there may allow more oval fields though.

No need to. AFL can't even get a professional team outside Australia in any form. AFL is basically non existent outside Australia.

There are the jealous deluded types who like to pretend there are. Because they know how far Infront Rugby League is ahead of them at an international level.

But everyone knows nobody in the UK even really knows what AFL is. The U.S has no venues for AFL and no potential for it to ever be known there either. New Zealand has rejected the game many times too with failed AFL exhibition match attempts there.

AFL knows their sport is just a constant international failure. China, huge disappointment for AFL too.

The AFL fan is so jealous that we have a send professional completion in the UK lol..
