Yes I said he wasnt going to be a decent marngrook player. And forgive me if I'm wrong but apart from 2-3 games out of 25odd, he's been absolutely miserable. I know you're taken away by the hype xman and if he doesnt drop a ball you say "amazing, he's great" like many other fools do. And yes it is exciting to have superior athletes from RL coming into thew AFL comp, but I wont be convinced on a few good games where he made tackles. At the moment he looks to be improving, which if he'd spent a proper season training before he entered the game would have happened a year ago, when it should have. Instead the gold digger has taken AFL money for diddly really, simply for being the khunt experiment.

On your second point you're wrong again. My point is he shouldnt have been given the sums of money he has been given, supported to this ridiculous extent by the AFL. Read the title dimwit.

KARMICHAEL HUNT

NO one could quite believe it when the man known as 'Special K' announced he was quitting rugby league to join the fledgling Gold Coast Suns in 2009. The announcement was even more jaw-dropping given all involved were able to keep it secret until the morning of the media conference to reveal the switch. Everyone laughed at Hunt with many 'experts' and former greats all predicting failure. But Hunt is the one laughing now. He continues to improve and took a big step forward this year, playing 18 games and relishing life as a hard-at-it midfielder. The highlight was his goal after the siren against Richmond in Cairns, which handed the Suns their first win of the year. Has impressed many with his development and he is not finished yet. Also on Hunt's resume is a six-month French rugby union stint with Biarritz, which he completed just before starting with the Suns. Not surprisingly, he starred and they wanted him to stay. In terms of successful code switches, he is leaving Israel Folau for dead.

Gobsmacked! I couldn't believe my ears this morning when I heard the news. Khunt staying on a million per season with the AFL's support as a promo bunny.

Does the AFL want to continue looking like the laughing stock of Australian sport? This man is yet to take a contested mark, he's taking the spot of a much more skilled youngster who's played the sport his whole life and he is the epitomy of Raiderdaves perception of the typical fumbling bumbling no skills Victorian Rules player. It's either this clown has a manager who is dealing out high class pros and cocaine to the AFL bosses or the AFL bosses are complete idiots. Its probably both.

Ahh my opening post all those moons ago. And was I right? Sure as all fukk I was right! Again. :D

Where's ol Khunty boy been this season folks? I wonder how his dream team points are piling up now Xman?

Looks like management at the suns have been reading my posts on here. He was always taking the spot of a talented youngster. Ahh the AFL and money - they sure as all fukk know how to waste it.

The author talked about watching the suns initially to see how hunt would go as many others did. From here he gained in interest in the game and the suns and whilst a rl person sees the suns as his side and will watch it to see how they go. He cited it as evidence of the value of the hunt experiment in his case.

Nice one phelpsy! An author of the GC bulletin viewed his single, unique, sole experience as "evidence"?

I'm happy you wrote "in his case" phelpsy. Because that's all it was. I'm afraid one person, hell even 100 (there's no chance there'd be more, with this quite unique experience, does not even nearly come close to the truck loads of cash the AFL and GC have shovelled at the Khunt. Not even close.

Since round 9 GC have played 8 games and won 2 by small margins. They've lost 6, most of those by 30 points or more!
