The wife of Bulldogs forward Frank Pritchard says her family has been hurt by racial abuse directed at them during last Friday's match at Brookvale Oval, and she is unlikely to return to Manly as a result of the ''degrading'' incident.
Raima Pritchard was called a ''monkey'' and told to ''go back where you came from'' as she celebrated her husband scoring a try during a golden-point victory over the Sea Eagles. She said on Wednesday that the perpetrators were an ''older couple'' and their two friends. She was seated with her daughter Kaizen, who turned four on the night, and other family members including Pritchard's parents.
''It was disturbing. They didn't know who I was, and I didn't make it clear who I was or anything,'' she said at the Bulldogs community lunch in Sydney. ''But that kind of stuff shouldn't be at a football game anyway. I had my daughter there with me. It was very awkward. We were cheering because we got the try, and we were just told to f-off, and sit down, and go back to your own country.
''That really did upset my family and all of us who were there. The most degrading thing was they looked at us straight away and they told us to go back to Centrelink, stop bludging off the dole. I was very upset about that. I just told my family to keep on looking at the park.''

It also emerged on Wednesday that Bulldogs winger Krisnan Inu was dubbed a ''dumb black c---'' by a troll on Instagram. Inu, a devout Christian, removed the message then apologised to his followers for challenging the troll to say the comment to his face.

One 15 yo girl calls Goodes an ape and the AFL community are outraged and act swiftly and harshly

Yet this sort of behaviour appears common in the NRL and goes on unchallenged.

I dont think the spitting and can throwing is relevant here stewie, it appears, as this was at players because they were players not for any other reasons. So please put those two 'racist cards' away stewie me boy.

On the other hand the incident re prichards wife is quite disgusting, I agree. I find her tweet very pertinent. "only in manly". Manly is renowned for its how shall I say 'whiteness'/aussie bogan culture. Correct me if im wrong but manly and its nrl team is probably the nrl's closest equivalent in terms of its distinct lack of a multicultural squad and community. No?

 only in manly... or if you're an AFL supporter, only in every AFL team!
Sorry KE, Manly is a club in the NRL isn't it? I think that clears up racism in NRL!
I've never said the nrl doesn't have racism. Not once, actually ive clearly stated the opposite on several occasions. But you delude yourself and perceive I have. Swines, im too clever for you, just admit it. You cant put one thing on me, so you spout allegations formulated by your emo/anger distorted opinions rather than what ive actually said.

You just cant hit me with nuttin apart from "youre raiders bitch" ...and even that aint relevant! commoooon now swines, gimme some love biatch
The question is, do you still believe that the problem is worse in AFL circles? or is the issue just as bad in both codes?
