So about 4k? In a city of 4mil

Makes RL getting 10k+ in a coastal region of much less than 1 million pretty fukkin good.

Central Coast's population is under 300,000.

Pretty impressive wouldn't you agree when compared to two Sydney NRL clubs playing a game in Gosford and getting 7,000 odd. They just love their NRL in NSW, Central Coast in particular according to you. Bet you feel stupid now eh?

Central Coast is a unique case, its too hard to get any accurate assumptions by looking at the crowd figures for NRL games. The reason is the central coast for years have been trying to get an NRL franchise of their own (ever since the proposed re-location of North sydney Bears and again after the breakup of the Northern Eagles). last year the NRL commission decided to postpone any expansion plans. The RL community on the Central coast for many years had no issues attending NRL games staged up there (the crowds were always close to capacity) but since the descision for no expansion plans, there has been a growing mood of restraint towards NRL games up there.
Central Coast view the NRL games staged up there by sydney teams alittle differently now. they (CC fans) could argue that attending these games only helps the financially struggling sydney clubs, those who use the Central coast as a means to better their finances. people attending these games are potentially aiding in preventing the Central Coast Bears from entering the comp. The central coast also do not want to be used by the NRL anymore. they have said many times they want a team of their own.
