I too have several Indian friends and colleagues. I will query them on the use of the term curry munchers, particularly in the context of the tweet by the NRL player, and report back. I'm thinking they will laugh it off, but I could be wrong. Fact is there's been barely any kerfuffle about this incident, barely any at all. I'd say that's a fairly strong indicator that it is debatable whether this act was, as Xman, stewie and pookus put it, racist. I'd be ok if it had been described in the way wikipedia define it i.e an ethnic slur. But racism I'm just not sold on. There was no negative descriptor attached to it, apart from "get em off the show", which is a reasonable and harmless comment given the context - a reality tv show.
