Re: Khunt getting support from the AFL for three more years
I find it very difficult to watch the GC cos, as its a foregone conclusion pretty much every time they play, unless its against the other basketcases GWs or melb or brisbane. So im going off the stats and I watched the match highlights. Khunt mentioned/sighted once for "dishing out punishment" with a shephard/shoulder charge. He obviously wasnt a highlight with the ball, nothing showing in the contested marks department or even a nice kick. And believe you me, when he does get a contested mark or starts kicking properly it'll be all over the news. Everyone knows he can tackle ok.

Perhaps you would have some credibility on KHunt's progress if you actually watched the game. Until such time, you just look like an opinionated clueless fool. Highlight reels don't count either.King-Eliagh wrote:I find it very difficult to watch the GC cos, as its a foregone conclusion pretty much every time they play, unless its against the other basketcases GWs or melb or brisbane. So KE, you know nothing.
If you watched the game you would have seen a very entertaining game with the GC winning two quarters and almost the game.
Bombers were the recipient of some soft frees in the last quarter that put them in front yet that, the result was in doubt until the very last goal. You are right - KH wasn't the best player onfield - that was GA, a completely mind blowing performance. That guy has the uncanny sense to know exactly what is the best option. As for KH he was extremely useful. He is better than most AFL players in the sense he can now lay a heavy tackle and not be penalised. Even better than that he laid the perfect shirt front - something that is extremely hard to do these days and not get charged let alone penalised.AF stats don't include "assists" and KH assisted in a number of good passages, taking a player out and causing the turnover.
The stadium and the ground look a treat.
They should really fill that hole at the scorboard end.

No surprising KE is making his assessment of an AFL player off stats alone. What a keyboard hero! He has absolutely NFI!King-Eliagh wrote:I find it very difficult to watch the GC cos, as its a foregone conclusion pretty much every time they play, unless its against the other basketcases GWs or melb or brisbane. I've seen the chump play before. He's useless. Cos you cite only a few examples of good play. Wellll whooop di doo. And even if the guy played half decent for a change, this doesnt change the fact he wouldnt be on their list if it wasnt for the AFL's selfish act to promote via a reality tv style experiment rather than let the game promote itself organically. Khunt'd be back in the lower divisions still. Millions of dollars spent for little reward on the field and the rightful place of another young potential superstar taken away.

He was one of the suns best on the ground. That meant he played better than most of their picked players.
As has been covered a million times, his contract is mainly for promotion, with a small percentage for his on field contribution.

Exactly, his contract is mainly for promotion. His on field contribution is useless therefore they should not support him like this for another 3 years.

He has earns his off field wage. He is currently developing in to a decent midfielder as shown by his last game and previous performances. He is by no means the worst suns player so he deserves his spot on their list for the modest amount he is paid for that part of his role.King-Eliagh wrote:Exactly, his contract is mainly for promotion. Such a divisive strategy of the AFL. Divisive to the team who are all getting less cashish than Khunt and unethical as youngsters miss out on a spot they deserve.

What?
KHunt is paid by the suns according to his contribution to the team on field, similar to any other mid to lower level player on the list.
He is then paid by the AFL to promote the game in QLD and beyond, as they have stated he has done in spades!

He has done nothing apart from rocking up to a school and turning up to training. That's not work. Its unethical that this experiment be paid in such a way. And then we see him on the field making a mockery of the entire sport.

As i said the sun shines out of a skunks ass from time to time. He's made a mockery of the sport all last year and in his other games this year. Therefore he didnt deserve the cash or the place he has got. Unethical.

Jealousy? Ahhh please explain?
The AFL making tragic mistakes such as paying khunt 3mill for the next 3 years doesnt make me jealous. It's upsetting, confusing and beyond belief but it does not make me jealous.
