Topper with regards to the Swans given their South Melbourne history wouldn't you think that a reasonable proportion of their members would be Victorians? Given that how many of their membership might be from Victoria? Similar questions would apply to the Lions given their Fitzroy background.

Additionally aren't people from the AFL states who now live in Sydney/Brisbane the most likely to join a local AFL team?

Given Victorian AFL fans are meant to be so passionate about their teams is it a surprise that they would continue membership even when the team relocates.

You really have no idea what you're talking about. Whilst threre is still a healthy supporter base for the Swans and Lions in Victoria, it is nothing compared to what the numbers there were when the clubs were local. It amazes me the Swans/Lions have been able to hang on to as many supporters as they have in Victoria. It's something GWS will not have the luxury of. The fact you don't understand any of this does not surprise me.
