The Suns were expected to be garbage this season so people knew what they were getting, the Titans were expected to be a top 4 side again and from the start, they were garbage, people will only put up with garbage for so long esp if they are expected to do well. If they aren't expected to do well, you see less of a drop off usually. One thing RL fans have in common, we will not put up with mediocrity like our southern cousins and ignore everything in front of our noses like AFL fans do in regards to the way the people running the game absolutely screw over certain teams for the benefit of others.

So let me get this right. The people of the Gold Coast knew the Suns would struggle or as you put it have a "garbage season" whilst the Titans were expected to be a top 4 side.
