its simple
If you couldn't watch it previously on streaming ,if you gave a stuff at all ..you watched on platforms you could ... fumblers & their crap knows no bounds

it used to be
we don't get our maximum veiwers for our GF because of the time its on & people have to .... go to bunnings & buy paint 8-[
or go to woolies 8-[ because theres a special on baked beans ... :-k
or mow the lawn
:hmm:

now its people couldn't stream it before this year , so never knew it was on ....... :hmm:

     :(/ :(/     :(/ :(/ :(/
People have to work, go to kids sporting events, and fuck knows what else they cant get done during the week.

And yes, the timing matters. Theres a reason prime time is a thing for broadcasters, and why Seven continually pushes a night grand final.
      :(/ :(/

but but but
honestwy .... deh are too busy to watch the fumbles & bumbles gwand finul

I would have wotched it
I would have honestwy ..... but i had to wash the dog 8-[

the excuses are as pathetic as the sport     :(/ :(/
I nearly missed the gf one year as was camping and couldn’t find a place to watch til last minute - plus many things on you can’t get out of - most comments I read is that being able to stream on 7plus was a big bonus. Haven’t found s anyone with the conspiracy theory of AFL manipulating the data. Except azif -… possibly an extreme case of cognitive dissonance which would make sense - anything positive for AFL would need to be explained away so that it was not positive - and if someone is so entrenched in this narrative then it is more the likely to occur otherwise you have to throw out that narrative which has had so much invested into it that it is just easier to go with the alternate explanation, no matter how out there it may be.

I’d be happy if you could point me to where people are co planning or questioning the veracity of the ratings.

I think you are right - streaming does allow another medium through which to watch - allowing a greater audience it would seem.

Two clubs from non traditional states is also going to get a larger audience than say one or none.

Don’t you think the but butts maybe things like - the ratings are rigged, the crowd is all ex pats, the crowd is all ex union supporters (not that that means anything), —- and any other point to try and discredit it down play good figures?

Anyway - that’s your thing I guess and good luck with that as harms no one I guess. But would like to see if others have questioned the varacity of the results?

Oh - done guy on reddit was saying you can’t compare this year to previous as the way the count is different - and also previous are 5 city metro and this years figures are national - that didn’t sound right but wondered what others here thought.

same people , but on a different platform .... thats not a greater audience

& the guy on reddit is no doubt a fumbler moron , the count is exactly the same
The entire breakdown was given , metro , regional ... just not for those that streamed instead of FTA. The % would have been the same for it as it was the rest of the breakdown

no valid excuses exit for the very dodjay figures [-X [-X [-X [-( [-( [-( :^o :^o :^o :^o

I think were once you couldn’t watch it and now you can - it would increase numbers. For instance- if I go camping and the nrl grand final is on I’m not going to go out of my way to watch it - but if I have an iPad I’m definetely having a look at least- cause i now can. Low motivation and challenging access - not watching/. Low motivation and easy access - more likely to watch.
