Round 1 Crowds
Some talk of this being a record crowd for Round 1? Some good match ups and tonight may be a cracker with Richmond coming of a bad lose and looking to make up for a bad performance - and they have Dusty back which may be a draw card - but the Blues fans will be out on mass I feel. Big crowd
Then - Friday at the "G" - Pies supporters should roll up in numbers and plenty of Swans followers locally who will take the chance to attend a big game without travelling to Sydney - how many will fly in or make the trip down the Hume.

Sell Out at the G tonight. Now this does not mean every seat is full just means no more tickets are available to be sold.

Re: Round 1 Crowds
Yes, agree. I would like to know what the go is here. I was at the Suns game, and whilst I am well aware, an have advocated in the past, that many people use standing room and even stay in the concourse and bars (many richmond supporters in the bars after helf-time thinking game was over lol), I raised questions as to it being a "sell-out" as seemed plenty of empty seats - and the giants also looked to have plenty of seats empty.

Re: Round 1 Crowds
These AFL 'sell-outs' are a joke. Who is in charge of this BS? I still remember the Shanghai 'sell-outs' and Gilty saying all the fans were in the hospitality area and some buses couldn't find the ground lololololololol!!!!! Bald faced lies!!!
The new bloke in charge, The Big Dill, had better step in and fix up this embarrassment. It's a joke!

Re: Round 1 Crowds
As long as the clubs make money from reserved seating, this is going to be an issue. Im surprised they havent got a general resell option across the leagueBeaussie wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2024 12:32 pm
Apparently lots of MCC and AFL members reserve seats empty.

Re: Round 1 Crowds
I dunno, I reckon I could mention a few things funnier: AFLX was a humdinger lolollolololol!!!! The Shanghai 'experiment' was hilarious lolololol!!! And the Kiwi mayoral comedian who kicked the fumbling mess outta town because there was more interest in bridges to nowhere than AFL lololololol!!!!WookieReturns wrote: Fri Mar 15, 2024 6:56 pmnothing funnier than NRL folks trying to give the AFL shit about crowds.

Re: Round 1 Crowds
6:50 at the suns” game - no where near as busy as last week - no major line to get in- property still in concourse - I’m guessing nearly if not more than are seated lol. But seriously - seems that way (I can’t see the main stand above though). Lots of suns and lots of crow supporters. Fairly even where I am I guess. Leaning suns though I’d say. Front row of standing room which is good.

A bit disappointing for the Suns.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
