Yep Storm had a bad day out. Still clearly the best side of the year. Never been a fan of the way finals are valued and yes, know I’m in a minority … but best team for me is who finishes on top after home and away.

I am not so sure if they were the best team in the first half of the year. Remember Penrith were undefeated till State of Origin started.
Your right about the second of the the year, Melbourne definitely were the best team.

Panthers were the best team until mid year, than Storm were the best until FINALS>

They played the 1st final & absoluley blew Manly away .
18 points up after 23 mins .
Leading 30-6 ...6 mins into the second half .
Then cruised to an easy victory.


The GF qualifier they lost their best forward & Dummy half .
15 man bench. You are always up against it ..but when you lose those 2 you're in serious shit .
They played pretty ordinary after that & still Penrith just limped over the line to beat them .
I would bet if they had the full 17 all game they would have won ..even though they might not have played at their best.
