Augusts best.
I think they went off a bit early Fred, maybe they need to learn to pace themselves a bit better.

That was a very close match too. Would never have predicted South's to be there either.

Panthers were easily the best team to half way point. and Origin Kicked inFred wrote: Sat Sep 25, 2021 6:00 pmISO you don’t have clearly the best team of 2021.in the grand final ….. oh well
and they fell away, but still managed to be 2nd.
Storm were easily the best until finals time from Half way point, where they lifted the bar.
They were always going to have a hard time to BEAT Panthers and Parra.
NRL FINALS is different to H&A season
it becomes alot more brutal and physical. similar to Origin.
Melbourne on the weekend were fatigued and pressured Massively in Defence

Melbourne played as bad as I’ve seen ‘em for at least 10 years. Munster and Grant were hopeless and the Cheese went off early.
But good to see someone else in the GF although it will effect the ratings result. South’s V Storm would have been a ratings goldmine.

too me they were quite fatigued.. (the Storm)
and we all know, physical defence and fatigue causes errors
Storm Missed Smith Alot..
Souths v Storm could of been NRL ratings records most certainly

Yep Storm had a bad day out. Still clearly the best side of the year. Never been a fan of the way finals are valued and yes, know I’m in a minority … but best team for me is who finishes on top after home and away.

If that was the rule then you might have a point - but its not.

you could say the Panthers were easily the best team in 2020 by a good margin.Fred wrote: Mon Sep 27, 2021 4:16 pmYep Storm had a bad day out. Still clearly the best side of the year. This seems to be the way you operate Fred. If you don't like the results you will make up your own method. Which of course favours your own team or fave sport........ie your strike in & strike out rule for TV ratings!! It don't work that way pal! Ever!!!!!!!!!Fred wrote: Mon Sep 27, 2021 4:16 pmYep Storm had a bad day out. Still clearly the best side of the year. I am not so sure if they were the best team in the first half of the year. Remember Penrith were undefeated till State of Origin started.Fred wrote: Mon Sep 27, 2021 4:16 pmYep Storm had a bad day out. Still clearly the best side of the year. Your right about the second of the the year, Melbourne definitely were the best team.

PENRITH were by far the best team in 2020 and lost to melbourne in GF
2021
Panthers were the best team until mid year, than Storm were the best until FINALS>
you have to get better once Finals arrive, Strom did not.
In fact
SOUTHS
PANTHERS
PARRA
Lifted come finals.
Storm did not.
