And yet you can barely average 16,000 per game. What a disgrace the NRL is. Fair dinkum, pathetic. :_<>Raiderdave wrote:who said they hadn't ?Onions wrote:Hey **** wit! ALL states have gone up! For ****'s sake GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!

Yes and that's a record for the NRL drawing on as Raider puts it, 12 million people in Rugby League heartland.King-Eliagh wrote:Does the NRL average 16k per game?
Fucking abysmal if you ask me, but Raider and many other throwball fans seem very proud.

Oh dear, much lower eh? Did you even click on the link? The average has increase from a few hundred to a thousand a year. Yeah I'm worried about the growth of Rugby League crowds.King-Eliagh wrote:I'm proud as before I moved o/s a few years back the average was much lower than that.
It looks like its definitely on the rise then wouldnt you say? NRL, on the rise![]()

Interesting link. I see it's grown 7k in 14 yrs. That's not something to be scoffed at I would say Beaussie. If this continues crowds will be rivalling AFL within 2 decades...
And from what I hear from Raider AFL crowds are going down at the same time! So maybe within one decade league could equal AFL crowds. I doubt it but the trend suggests it is possible.

Wrong, wrong, wrong and seriously, you'd be better off not listening to anything Raider says.King-Eliagh wrote:Interesting link. I see it's grown 7k in 14 yrs. That's not something to be scoffed at I would say Beaussie. If this continues crowds will be rivalling AFL within 2 decades...

This season has not finished yet for crying out loud.King-Eliagh wrote:Well it has dropped by quite a bit in 2011. I know tlpg said the finals will pick it up but im not sure the average will rise much more from finals. A bad year for the AFL I guess.
Is it GC fault do you think?

I'd still prefer the 3rd highest by average crowds in the world over anything the NRL can muster.

1200 in average attendance is significant. I'd be worried and wouldnt be surprised if it was due to the many off field debacles. The KAte Duthy affair perhaps has had a fair impact on the credibility of the code.
Maybe a good idea to check StKilda's crowds this year along with GC and Port's?

the AFL average will probably end up being the lowest its been in 7 years
& next year drop to its lowest levels in over 10 years
while Melb has had a spike
the rest of the country has seen massive falls ... AFL is on the nose from one end of the nation to the other
except for that odd little lump hanging onto Australias @rse

30 years ago we averaged 25K! We haven't had a fucking average like yours since the fucking WAR!! 30 years ago both fucking comps were state based. Expansions leads to rises. But despite a fucking huge average for the Broncos you can't get your so called heartland to go to the fucking game! Sydney's going off the fucking boil!Raiderdave wrote:& it rises almost every year
