2017 - NRL - Rugby League TV Ratings
Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
By my quick calculations RL got over 300k more ratings on STV last round than the fumblers. That's the ratings of 15 teams v 18. I'll re check the numbers when I get a chance.

I'm not sure of year to date figures. I've only been taking more notice the last few weeks since Wookie hasn't posted his numbers.

You think people that run those billion dollar companies that sign billion dollar contracts just sign the contracts and not do any research in what they are signing!
Bahahahaha you have NFI! There is a reason why they paid more for the AFL with far less control of the content
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million
Leagueiscrap
and she still changes your nappies as well!

And just be selective like usual
There is a reason why the AFL got more in its broadcast deal for full control! While the nrlol threw every thing out including the kitchen sink just to be close to the AFL

Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
I think you have to consider what fox was buying. They want subscribers and as fox doesn't or didn't have the uptake in AFL states it was a good way to get some penetration there's. Also, having Australia's biggest sport in that of AFL allows greater reach whereas nrl you are confined to nsw and qld for the main.

Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
the only reason why the NRLOL beats AFL in fox is because of the showing games in isolation, AFL having games being played and shown at the same time & over lapping! & fox have more exclusive games and along with C9 they still control the NRLOL fixture! the AFL has full control of everything & still got more more money!leeroy*NRL* wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2017 4:20 pmyou and your NFI NFI>>>>leagueiscrap wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2017 2:42 pmFor the nrlolleeroy*NRL* wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2017 2:21 pmwho is leading the FOX figures for the year

buying a house as to a broadcast contract are totally different thing, one is a 5 or 6 year contract as to at least 10 to 20 years for a house
paying overs for something is some imaginary thing that you dweebs along with ROy masters dribble on about because your NRLOL got less
to suggest that networks payed several 100 million in overs for the rights is laughable & delusional at best from you jealous & bitter NRLOL lot
given the fact for negotiation for both contracts c7, c9 & fox & every other party involved brought people who thought were specialists in to negotiate the contracts!
as well as given the size of the contracts! the dying revenues in the traditional FTA and pay TV with different services available the networks have even less money floating about to suggest networks with specialists handling the contracts to make a mistake in paying several hundred million over for a product

it sums up your a jealous delusional gimp with NFI about money

the number of subscribers watching at the end is all that counts..
or it could be a number of factors, like what FRED said.
all it could be there are more advertising sections within the product..
why FOX would outlay more and still get a better return..
and yes the networks control the game now>>
but that all changes in 2018 (which has been said many times)
I am not stating the networks paid overs by hundreds of millions of dollars..
I await wookie's spreadsheet of numbers
btw don't call me a Gimp again.
