Crowd 21541 - and the BIGGEST crowd in Sydney this weekend!

Pretty bad for a hyped derby, maybe most of Sydney just don't care for AFL

Not really ground only 24000 (with crickey only holding 21500). So 1500 short of capacity has to be regarded as a success. With Swans members being away fans and considering RL didn't match the crowd you'd have to regard it as a win for the AFL!

I will give you the win..

seeing that this Clash of the 2 Sydney teams was played at ANZ stadium.. next door.
has been moved to a smaller stadium ( are we going backwards or forwards)

or does it just prove how pathetic the ANZ stadium venue is ...

Don't know - but the AFL is trying to move away from ANZ - maybe they get more return from Spotless than ANZ - even thou I think they got a bigger crowd at ANZ last time (2014).

Going to be even worse for GWS when the Wanderers move into the stadium and make their averages look dismal, god I hope we get there crowd counter as well, we are going to average 43,000 at the stadium (yes i know it only holds 24,000)

Post the difference is the Wanderers have earned there success through hard work and graft. The Wanderers in a period of 3-4 years have clearly been embraced by those that love the world game in Western Sydney.

GWS have been given the best young AFL players all over the country and basically have still failed to make a mark..

Turn it up, I know Sydney FC fans who will tell you the Wanderers were set up and owned by the FFA with the express intention of being very successful on field from the get go, in order to increase the $$$ value team could be flogged off for a few seasons later.

They were given best talent available all paid for by the league. No years of struggle whilst developing talent like GWS had to endure.

When you see WSW crowds when they're not doing so well, you can understand why the A-league was so desperate to create instant success. Will end up like Melbourne Storm I suspect. Instant success however hardly embraced by the wider community, even decades later.

we were given 1 or 2 extra foreign player spots for 2 seasons(we only used one) and mostly rejected players from other clubs but somehow we made it work but hardly the advantages gws got
