So a GIMMICK GIMMICK game in a dead rubber series that is supposedly dying is still GIMMICK GIMMICK far more popular than every fumble game bar one .

Mate you're on a hiding to nothing. No matter how much you talk it down this game, as pointed out, will rate more than any other AFL game this year bar 1. What does that say about your game??

This is all about swings and roundabouts. If next years series is decided 2-1 to either side ratings records will again be smashed.

true point SOO figures can depend alot on what game it is.
A decider is usually the highest game
and if not it is game 1

Except when NSW claimed a drought breaking game 2 win to claim the series

that is why BUZZ is a complete knob (it cannot be compared)

I think ORIGIN can only get bigger, like it has on trends as QLD has dominated..

NSW just need to lift there game.

It wouldn't matter if SOO cooled down anyway as there are heaps of Kiwis and Islanders in the League now that can't play SOO so the focus will move to Internationals and along with that there are quite a few Poms out here now near enough already to form a pretty formidable Test side without their Super League stars. Wayne Bennett has seen the writing on the wall, that's why he jumped at the chance to coach England. He knows how big the series can be and all it will take is the poms to actually win something against Australia and the old Test flame will be reignited.

This seasons 4 nations could be the deathknell for Origin if the Poms perform with WB at the helm, the publicity alone from our own media leading into next years WC will be something to behold, the papers and WB do not get along.

I am old enough to remember the test series in the 60's and early 70's when the Poms had great sides with players like Tommy Bishop, Mal Reilly, Roger Millward, Cliff Watson, Phil Lowe and many many others. If they can get back to that level and win series against Aust. the international game will go through the roof.

where as in R.L Internationals and SOO are thrown into the season..

Mate, you lose on every point. The NRL H&A season gets bigger aggregate and average ratings than the AFL does. Add in SOO and internationals and it's a smash up derby. Back to the Melbourne suburbs for you pal!!
