The AFL brand

Post by King-Eliagh »

Howdy mah members,

Been a bit busy of late so haven't been able to make a new post for a while but it's impossible to ignore this issue any longer.

The AFL brand.

Folks it's not in disarray, it's not on a downward spiral, it's not even down in the dumps. No.

It's shot to fuckin pieces and here's how.

1. Andy D's delusions of grandeur in his ten point plan back in 2005 that "every young australian man will choose AFL as his sport of choice" has backfired severely. Their associated expansion plan has effectively created a comp which is lopsided to fukkin billio with numerous games each week nothing more than professionals versus amateurs.

2. The essendon drug saga (and don't forget there's several other clubs involved but essendon have been outed/scapegoated). This catastrophe for the AFL brand is also ongoing and years old now. It's involved and shown another great golden boy of the game to be an utter drop kick, yet the AFL have welcomed him back. It's soured one of the AFL's most illustrious clubs forever more. It's shown the AFL to be a desperate org trying to cover up its filthy underbelly.

3. The thousands upon thousands of 'australian of the year' haters who frequent every game outside of sydney/rl heartland. These racist **** have and the AFL's continual inability to address racism in its staff shows what they call the Australian football league to be a front runner for the most un australian organisations of the 21st century.

Yes folks. The brand is shot to pieces. That's a fact so I don't want to discuss this with you mah members. No I would like to pose a specific question to the AFL lads.

In light of the 3 points/realities I have outlined above, how do you guys think the next AFL tv deal will go?

Those three points - like everything you say for that matter - will be utterly irrelevant when it comes to anything the AFL does, ever. Fuck me you are worse than Leagueiscrap and AFLcrap and Raiderdave combined.

Look guys I know Ol rupy has made you all happy as Larry. And honestly, I'm happy for you guys, it's about time something happened positive for you poor sods! I mean whether it's respecting gays, women, aboriginal people, Asian people, Muslim people, ethics re drug cheating, Australians of the year, keeping an even comp, etc you AFL lads have had it really hard as the org leadership in the AFL has been akin to a peter griffin heading up the United nations. It's just not working.

But folks I don't wanna seeyas crash too hard so I gotta inform you of why you lucked out/are havin another premmie orgasm here. Do you guys know how old ol rupy Murdoch is now ?

He's 84.

And do you guys know at what age the human brain starts deteriorating?

30, and markedly so at 50.

Now I'm not ageist or nuttin but there's a reason our senior citizens retire and that reason is lost on a bloke so full of his own money that neither he nor anyone else will stand and say "I'm out because guess what? I'm too old for this shit, I don't even live in Australia, so what the fukk would I know about the reality of the comp and its brand at the mo?"

Ol rupy, take my advice AFL lads - don't trust his judgements

Ol rupy, he turned 20 in 1951, his prime was in a decade in which it was unfortunately not so frowned upon to dis gays aboriginal folk women Asians and Muslims so I imagine ol rupys values sit nicely with those of many an AFL fan.

But folks, I reiterate, a bloke like rupys understanding of reality in contemporary aus is not a bloke you wanna follow judgement on

Mark my words lads.

Ps, in happy you guys got the money I really am. But let's not squander millions upon millions overseas like the AFL have in their last deal eh :)

Ladies, ...ladies ladies, settle down now I've not changed the topic one iota. The AFL brand is shot, it's at its lowest point for atleast three decades.

Fools, racists, and drug barons have made the sport a farce. Just because ol rupy through cash at it doesn't change the fact ladies, as much as you wish it was different now, its not.

Im just trying to soften the inevitable crash ladies, so please, be gentle on me ok ... It's not my fault these things have happened.
