Players boycotting Channel 7

Post by Beaussie »

Pathetic if you ask me. Rather than deal with the issue of drugs in the AFL, the players and the AFL put their heads in the sand as if there is no issue. I saw an interesting comment on another website. How would the AFL, clubs and players feel if Channel 7 blacked out sponsor logos on the players, coaches and at the ground during their footy broadcasts?

I actually agree with the players here. Channel 7, or anyone for that matter, has no right to access someones medical records. Ones medical history is not public domain, footballer or Joe Public.

I agree though that something needs to be done to address the drugs problem though. Andrew Johns has compounded the problem.

Exactly. Channel 7 handled that incorrectly and should apologise unreservedly.

Channel 7 has expressed it's regret and the AFLPA seems to be happy. I guess we'll never know now who is taking drugs.
