You've been owned.
There's been NO fecking consparcy by any headmaster. He does what any headmaster does -provide sport within the confines of available resources.
The AFL supplies development officers to promote the game NOT any headmaster.
If the nrl spent some money maybe that might help you.
Cos cos cos.
Firstly WHY are you avoiding my question..
Is it because you would look like a bgger ****** than normal if you answered.?

2ndly
Do you ever deal in facts?.

Going by what Dogs posted It is disgusting that other sports are not available.

Yet you defend that & go on a rant ,& posting shit that you made up .

It does not matter who supplies the DEV officers .The AFL ones were invited by THE VIC HEAD.
Did he invite NRL DEV officers....MY guess would be prob not.

& now you are talking about if the NRL spends money..
Any proof they don't....or you made that up too to suit your argument.

There was an article about how much the nrl spend on Gold Coast compared to AFL ... It was quite a difference. I think swans has posted the best response ... That was . Check out if what was posted was actually true ... And if so, that's terrible . Whether it be AFL, tennis, hockey etc. has it always been a choice if two ? That's bad too.

If you pose a logiical question in English I will answer it.

The facts are very simple. I'll repeat it for you brain dead morons. Schools simply don't have the resources to cater for every sport.
In fact they have resources to deal only with the most popular sports.

For over a hundred years Australian Football has not been available in NSW schools.

HTF does dogs know that the AFL was invited? peering through the principle's office was he?

What it matter if he did invite the AFL because he thought he might get a response.
Do NSW schools invite the AFL.
Do schools invite the GAA, American Football, Hockey, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Netball, FFA, cricket, baseball, wrestling representitives........etc etc.

Fact. It's well known that the nrl don't spend their money on grassroots. How do we know? Because rl people complain.
Remember the Canberra incident and the early "battle" for WS articles.

FFS toughen up and get some perspective.

Dogs is an absolute tool because he cannot handle the fact that nobody is interested in his sport. TOUGH.
Nice try Cos.

& still you avoid the Question, by going on some rant.

Once again.

If in a Victorian school(you know Victoria where AFL is the major sport) a NSW Headmaster ,ONLY Allowed RL as the sport of choice, & excluded all others Even AFL would you say that is fine?.

Because that's what a Victardian headmaster is doing in a NSW school, except he is only allowing AFL.

& now you are attacking DOGS ,because he highlighted the problem,& claim that No one is interested in RL in NSW.

YOu are a dead set flip..
& how about answering the question this time ,without deflecting.

Agree somewhat AFL crap... Thing is rl has no where near the presence in Melbourne as Aussie rules has in Sydney. But if we take the actual sport out of it, yes, kids should be exposed to lots of sports. I played football in primary school, did athletics at carnivals , played hockey and baseball at high school, and played squash a little as well. To limit a school to only two activities seems small minded. But as swans pointed out, what are the actual facts. Say if the school had to choose to activities ... Then that may explain it partly, throw in maybe dollars, who knows, from the AFL and support, then this may have led to Aussie rules being the chosen sport. Of course, if it were just about pushing rl out then that's no good at all.

The headmaster at my children's school (from Victoria) is a mad AFL fan and has been trying to get all kids into AFL, in one way or another for the last few years without much success. So how does one cunning AFL diehard get around this you may ask, he enforces it.

Here is how it panned out this year so far.
Term 1 - Auskick,
Term 2 - The headmaster arranges more AFL flavoured activities in PE, coupled with a convenient visit from some AFL players. This followed by some friendly encouragement to play it for interschool sport next term on assembly etc.

My young bloke was saying he wanted to give it a go. Much to my disgust, but I thought, it is his decision, so give it a go.That was until I heard today that the above has been leading to this. Both my daughter and son only have two options for interschool sport (this hasn't been communicated to loudly to parents mind you). First Drama, second AFL.

So if you want to play any sport that involves a ball next term boys and girls, it has to be AFL says headmaster Hitler :salute: . This is up there with one of the most pathetic, manipulative things I think I have seen in my life. :-+

I am now considering not letting him play AFL as I am disgusted by how manipulative it is. :/; [-( :-k [-X
I would like some more clarification before I give my point of view.

It is a once off game? A series of games? The only sporting activity for the rest of the year?
Is it the headmaster calling the shots? Quite often it is the sports teachers or head of sport who call the shots on this kind of thing. If its interschool sport they also have the option of doing a normal school day ( or at least I assume).

You don't say what level this is ocurring at.

At primary school level you're lucky to have ANY interschool sports at all.
At my children's P.S. there was only netball and AF and that needed the total co-operation of all students otherwise they'd be nothing.
It sounds like you have a parallel situation trying to scrape together an AF side so you'd have zero chance of a rl interschool side.
In Sydney there was NO AF but now I see where they won a Paul Kelly Cup in one division so things are changing in Sydney.
Perth is supposed to be ahead of Vic in terms of rl so I see no prospect of rl being an option unless development officers are supplied.
In Perth both the Eagles and Dockers sent dev officers(players) to our school.

But to answer your question

If a Headmaster ,ONLY Allowed the dominant sport as the school's sport , & excluded all others

then I'd say you have the situation that exists around Australia.
Nice try Cos.

WTF is that shit.

IN NSW AFL is NOT the DOMINANT sport not even close, yet that is what the ******* headmaster has decreed that kids will play.

& you still are not answering the question.
Which tells me you cant ,because then you would have to agree that it is wrong .
& so far in this thread all you have done is defend the headmaster .

Last chance ******.

You know very well what I mean ,but I will spell it out for you,so you cannot deflect anymore..

A VICTORIAN AFL obsessed person gets a job at a NSW school.
He ONLY allows ONE sport..his beloved AFL.

You seem to think that's fine.

So if a NSW person a Rugby League tragic got a job as Headmaster at a Victorian school & the only sport he allowed was RL,would you think that is fine.?
Would you have any problems with it?

Because you sure as hell have no problem when a Vic taaaard does it in NSW.

& stop fucking deflecting & answer.

If you don't it will show(if we didn't already know) that you are that far gone into the insular bubble ,you will never come out.

You're a fecking absolute moron who cannot grasp English comprehension.
All over Australia Headmasters determine what sports will and wont be played due to a number of factors - cost, resources, offers, interest, competition etc.
You are implying that one decision was unjustified.
Well supply the details or shut up and sook somewhere else.

ATM all we know it is a school in NSW with an ex-Victorian headmaster. (Note the use use of "ex" in this particular case)
Is it a primary or high school?
Regional or city?
Private or government?
Is it an Auskick program, intra-school or inter-school?
Nice try Cos.
