no one said it never happens, but not just every week like in the NRL & for all season.
the effort when port played the swans at the SCG & people from the NRL where offering discounted tickets to attend their little game that was starting after the AFL at the sydney football stadium. and still only 9k showed up on a clear night

Well it is actually - becoming more competitive - crowds starting to rise - Swans have been in Sydney 30 years the AFL said this that it's a long term investment - why can't NRL types understand this concept - the AFL isn't like the NRL and kills off sides like - Adelaide Rams, Perth Reds, Gold Coast Chargers, Queensland Crushers, Hunter Mariners, Nrwtown, North Sydney, South Sydney (then been made to take them back). The AFL supports and try's to assist our clubs!!!

SCG under redevelopment last year. This year it's completed and surprise surprise, crowds are up.

The Sydney AFL derby was bigger than all but 3 games of nRL club football in Sydney this year. Cripes lol.

Swans are averaging 32k this year, which is the same amount as in their 2005 premiership year. It's looking good for the Swans for a few more years yet. They still have home games against, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond and St Kilda. I don't see their average falling.

73K for the Swines & Collington in 2003

they have had just one crowd that wouldn't of fitted ( EASILY) into the present SCG since 2006 there
the prelim final in 2012
& they only got 57K then too
