To be honest - I don't think these are good rating given the population of the US. Are they for the whole of US or just Nevada or Las Vegas - as they are very very small.

So the games rated well in Australia, but they didn't rate in America? What does that tell you? lol. Very " soft " ratings for the AFL for their big opening game of the season
very soft & way down on the usual numbers for an opening game in prime time on a Thursday , the AFL would have been bitterly disappointed with the numbers , around 1.2Mill total with STV ...

I think the AFL usually win when they go head to head in a direct comparison - not always but usually - like on Friday night, Thursday nights, Finals,etc. AFL lose out during the weekend when multiple games on though.
