Haha you compare the codes like rugby was originally Australian, then when shown some stats you have to look overseas. Stick to Australia, how many states have an NRL club??? AFL played in WA, SA, Tasmania, Vic, NSW, ACT and have playing in NT in past years.

I understand the point you are making, but AFL is only played in the AFL, there are no AFL teams based in Canberra, NT or Tasmania. The code is Australian Rules, not AFL. And they play Australian Rules in the AFL.

Not confusing, correct.
You only play AFL if you play in the AFl.
AFL play Australian rules.
If you play Australian rules, but not in the AFL, you don’t play AFL.

The structure of the AFL sport is what is very embarrassing though.
Points for missing a goal,
Drop the ball as much as you like,
The ref throwing the ball in backwards,
No crossbars on the goals,
A free shot at goal just for catching the ball at the in goal area.
Comical looking uniforms,

I could go on forever. It just does not look like a very skilled game.
They need to have only one goal. Not 3.

Can you imagine Soccer or Rugby with 3 goals on each side of the field.
Think about how stupid that is.

Rugby has “goals” the entire width of the field don’t they?.....and soccer didn’t always have crossbars, neither didn’t early forms of rugby, both games had fair catches in the early days from which you could score. And how many ways can you score in rugby.
By the way dropping the ball in Australian Rules is a free kick.
The throw in,,,,look at the history of the other football games, using the term very loosely for rugby, soccer, league and union still do a variation of the same.
Uniforms, you’re kidding.
