Port in the Top 8

Post by Beaussie »

Gees they absolutely destroyed the Hawks last night. Not that beating the Hawks is a fantastic achievement but still the Power seem to have got back on track in recent weeks. Like Brisbane, I now get the feeling the Power will definately take part in September action.

As Sydney proved at the SCG, the Swans have nothing to fear.

Talk about choking, who defeated Port in a qualifying final in Adelaide against all the odds?

I still doubt them and still know they wont make the finals. 13th position for them.

Living in the past as always BeAmerican! Just like who won the 1933 VFL Grand Final....the only way the Ca Swannies will improve is by getting Joey on board!

I have to agree Grim. If Joey Johns were to switch codes to AFL the whole game would be better for it. And if he were to come to the swannies...well i know as a true blue, fair dinkum, never been a bandwagoner swans fan i'd be very very very pleased. His kicking skill is higher than most AFL players, his strength is greater than all of them, and his stamina and vision would be up there with the best in the AFL too. Maybe one day it'll happen grim.....maybe one day.

What the hell are you two on about? Johns in nothing more than an injury prone hack who has a couple of good games in SoO a couple of times a year. How's his form with the winless Knights?

It would be good KE, but know the Ca Swannies they will go for leftovers from the other AFL clubs....Geez some Ca Swannies think Plugger still plays for them.

One thing is certain the Ca Swannies will never be a threat to the Power or get and AFL flag while Nick Divis is there....they have to get Joey!

Sounds like a form of jealousy......what about this Adam Goodes? He is too busy playing wannabe Aboriginal leader than playing footy....I like his comments about Land Rights by the way....real smart stuff!

His form for the knights has been fine beaussie. Its the rest of the team who are a bunch of hacks. Yes Grim i know....if the swannies could only see it. But really i dont know whether the AFL or the swans for that matter has the money to afford a player of Johns' calibre. But hey maybe he'll coach the swans one day? Who knows.....

Heard of Gavin Wanganeen? And by the way Goodes is only a part Brownlow Medalist along with Ricutto and Buckley...

How many AFL Premiership Cups down the SCG way...that is AFL not VFL!

Still more than what Port has got to show. Lets not forget Matthews, Clegg, Goldsmith, Skilton (x3), Bedford, Teasdale, Round, Williams, Healy, Kelly and of course more recently Goodes. Impressive hey. :P
