Plenty of stuff is settled before it gets to court too, mate, and not just in the AFL. the AFL is supposed to protect its brand, its a key part of its job. If it was illegal we'd have seen it before the courts already. Its not, so we dont.

In any case, this is an NRL discussion. lets stay on topic.

A comparison is relevant. Gilty concedes the AFL pay hush money. The NRL doesn't. Knowing or not knowing any scandals involving a sporting code is going to have an effect on sponsorship dollars.
