Ticket sales strong for first week of finals

More than 40,000 tickets have been sold for the Swans-Giants final
MORE than 40,000 tickets have been sold for the first finals derby between the Sydney Swans and Greater Western Sydney at ANZ Stadium next Saturday week.

Meanwhile, 52,100 tickets have been sold for the Geelong-Hawthorn clash at the MCG on Friday week.

The AFL issued an update on Thursday afternoon on ticket sales for the first week of the finals.

There have been 39,800 tickets sold for the first clash of the finals series, the match between West Coast and the Western Bulldogs at Domain Stadium on Thursday night.

The Sydney derby, which will be the Giants' finals debut, has seen 40,200 tickets sold.

Saturday night's first elimination final between Adelaide and North Melbourne is set to be a sell-out, with 40,600 tickets already sold.

With all the doom and gloom of the tin foil RL brigade on this forum - E.g. Swans are chests with COLA, GWS has a seedy underbelly RL has the moe superior athletes the WSW are soooo much bigger than GWS. It's good to see NORMAL people couldn't give a rats toss bag and the tickets are being sold well ahead of the historical final derby between the Swans v GWS. Good to see most appreciate a good contest regardless of the sport!
