With the NRLs season opening crowd of 36k for their biggest club the broncos, how will that compare to the AFL season opener tonight?

Neither games were sellouts so the ground capacity is irrelevant. The AFL got over double the biggest NRL crowd drawer in both code's opening games

AFL opener was on a Thursday with a public holiday the next day.
