AFL in NZ and England an amateur joke.
Had a good laugh when looking at some of the AFL overseas websites. The sites seem to have mostly men and women playing in empty suburban parks with nobody watching lol.. AFL is taken as seriously in these countries as Australia takes AFLs international cup (which was ignored all media)
Well done AFL :_<>

Apparently this is an tiny amatuer competition according to all these AFL sooks lol
They all know their code is non existent outside Australia.
I bet if one person was seen with an AFL ball in Antartica it would suddenly be like yep Antartica is mad for AFL :_<>
Antartica has huge grass roots AFL there
.
That is how desperate AFL is to get another nation into there pussy game.
Now now wookie, don't burst a blood vessel lol.. Your getting too cranky knowing how shit the AFL is. Just remember I don't give you points for constantly missing with all your silly statements like you get in AFL

Re: AFL in NZ and England an amateur joke.
The funny thing is Rugby Leagues websites in places like Canada and the USA actually have some crowds watching and a well run comp.
AFL does not even seem to have that. This is what I mean by how amateur AFL is looking internationally. Seems like netball would get more cred than AFL in these countries lol

I have noticed this myself.
The ppl supporting rl seem to want to make it look as professionally run as possible with the money they have, the AFL people seem to just park themselves on open parkland mostly which is never going to look professional no matter how you dress it up. You need enclosed fields for a start to get people used to paying to attend even if it's $5. Then you can start selling stuff around the club from merchandise to game day mags and whatnot. Set up a meeting place for before and after matches to get a club culture going.
If you have a look at how the Jacksonville axemen rugby league club have been set up by spinner howland, you know you need to do these things if you want to thrive let alone survive.

Yeah rugby league seems to have a small but healthy following there.
They got 7,000 turning up to watch a Canada vs USA rugby league match in Toronto recently. AFL could only dream of numbers like that for international games.

Re: AFL in NZ and England an amateur joke.
Oh the hypocrisy. RL is going nowhere in any substantial market because it's the world's most limited and boring code. What an abortion of a game. You can't successfully export a game of no skill into markets where sports fans will always watch the superior sports.AFLsforPussies wrote:Yeah rugby league seems to have a small but healthy following there.

AFL don't have to go international, they're still no 1 in Australia and always will be. International thugby league remains a joke. If it wasn't for the army of braindead Aussie rednecks who watch it on TV, because they can't afford to go to games or figure out how to catch the right trains/buses to the stadiums, then international RL would be dead. It should already be dead. Abortion...of....a...game. Australia's national shame.

Re: AFL in NZ and England an amateur joke.
Worthless you say. It's the simple reason why RL will never successfully tap any international market of substance. The truth, it hurts so much :DAFLcrap1 wrote:Very insightful post Mr Herpes .Vlad Tepes wrote:Oh the hypocrisy.
