Sorry folks but this simply HAS to be done!The AFL expansion into Western Sydney has been a disaster. The context of Western Sydney is something the AFL appear blind to really. They did not do their research. Or they did and thought, "we gots to get someone who wont appear dorky...izzy folou??" and then expected one RL player to singlehandedly be the sole marketing force behind the expansion into GWS.
Whichever way you look at it, the AFL have, quite simply, botched the fukk out of their expansion. A complete debacle of epic proportions. In fact someone in showbiz or theatre really should develop a musical or at least a comedy show out of the whole thing.
I can already see the scenes/songs of the musical!!! :D
Scene 1: A sad sombre opening scene with crying style violin and thinly femininely built male actors wearing torn footy outfits being torn away from their homelands.
Singing the scene itle: "we're going we're leaving Greater Western Sydney/Black town ...- to Homebush
" Scene 2: A muscular athlete in prime physical shape wearing a thick gold necklace with a massive $ symbol on it singing in an uncertain monologue the song/scene titled "The entrance of Izzy"
Scene 3: Some ugly old actor wearing half a clown suit with a green rubber dildo attached to his head singing in an upbeat yet ridiculously ignorant tone to the song/scene title ..."I know it, I know it!!! Its! The battle of the bridge!"
Scene 4: A fat looking man in a frog costume who spouts racist effigies in a tune/scene titled "the felafal" :****
Scene 5: The same clown in scene 3 singing in a more sad tone now to the tune/scene title "western sydney's multicultural population only like soccer"
:**** Scene 6: The same athlete in scene 2 singing another monologue but this time wearing more bling than ever and singing in a mocking tone with laughter the song/scene titled "The EXIT OF IZZY - laughing all the way to the bank
" Scene 7 The same 18 skinny runt actors from scene one enter the stage bumbling and fumbling footies while falling over singing the song/scene titled "Ohhh we cannat handle the on field smashings week after week, week after week, week after week"
Scene 8 A bunch of girls enter the stage watching the fallen actors of scene 7 and begin looking to a group of much more physically impressive men wearing nrl jerseys before slapping the thin AFL actors and singing the tune/scene titled "we're sick and tired of dating a LOSER!"
Well its not complete but you guys get the picture right? :D It'd be a fukkin hoot and a barnstorming Aussie theatre success!
