the best timing a RLWC can have in oz is 12am, most others are 1:30to 6am, some at 7am which isn't too bad for those heading off to work. Though they probably can't watch the whole game.

hype has been moderate in oz, same or slightly better than 2008 (obviously the pointy end is coming this week and the week after). But UK is a stark contrast to 2000 and 2008. completely different.

bit annoyed at how expensive the remaining wembley tix are. i cant go obviously, but you could get a lot more tickets for the remaining 20-30k if they were around 50 pounds instead of 80 like some are.

can you please provide some proof about the tickets of how expensive they are?, are the whinge of how expensive the NRL GF tickets where thats why it didnt sell out, only to find outs they where half the price of the AFLs GF

I think it is usually the nrl people on here trying to knock the chip off the afls shoulder due to the success of the AFL. This has been reversed of late though with AFL people tending to want to belittle the World Cup possibly because AFL has limited international reach and rl has at least some. It's funny what insecurities do.

I think that there is a professional comp on England however small signals that rl has more international presence ... By a long way.


AFL is the number 1 code here but rl has a bigger international scene . And there's nothing wrong with that... Doesn't diminish AFL at all and AFL being the number code here on aus doesn't diminish rl at all.
