But in all seriousness i'd go off too. Why bother? Why stay on the field in a team which does not belong and cannot compete on the professional AFL venues of australia? It's woeful what the AFL have done to these kids. Seriously woeful.

Worse still, commentators, AFL supporters and officials across the country wont man up and admit its a serious problem. Give it two years they said. Then they say, give it three years. Or, In five years they'll be top four and killing sides.

Reality check. Unless something drastic is done this team will be the joke of aus pro sport for over a decade. I recall reading an article about stkilda a year or two ago. Not a bad read and I vividly remember reading the percentage of those who make the AFL who then go on to play for more than 5 years at the top level. It was startlingly low, like 20% or something. To think these pimply faced teens who are out there getting pummeled to bits in front of their loved ones week in week out for two years now, to think they will somehow mould and unite into some superclub is the dumbest thought one could have.

They need atleast 8 hardened quality professionals. Right now.

But no i doubt the AFL will admit they fukked it up, they still havent as far as i know. They'll likely just give this club cash and allow the club to pick up one or two decent players a year while getting smashed for atleast the next 5 years.
