2. They will tell you TV ratings are all that matter regardless of membership, crowds or finances!

3. They will tell you that AFL is only popular in Victoria, even though AF is played in every state and territory of Australia and has good participation numbers!

4. They will tell you RL are more skilful and athletic than AFL players even though they play totally different games with totally different skill sets

5. They troll the net looking for any incident or occurrence to tell people this is the reason the whole sport should be condemned rather than the individual.

In order to be defamatory it 1. Has to be proven untrue ... Except nsw I think ? And has to be shown to adversely impact on you personally and/or professionally. Given your name here leads to you not being identified and even if it were so, given the limited number of people that come here, it may be a defence that you have not suffered significantly from the alleged slander

1. The same goes for most members in this forum.

2. This is solely a matter of opinion (a biased one at that) which can also be looked at from the over side of the fence as;
'They will tell you membership, crowds or finances are all that matter regardless of the TV ratings!'

3. I dont know where your going with this one! Ive lost count the amount of times i have read an AF fan post something along the lines "NRL is only popular in NSW and QLD" even though the NRL competition has teams in VIC, ACT and NZ and Rugby League is played in every state and territory of Australia and has good participation numbers!

4. Yes both are very different games with totally different skill requirements and just like 'statement 3', Ive lost count the amount of times AF supporters in this forum have done exactly what you are complaining about.

5. I didnt really understand this one... Did you try to say that they (KE and RD) search through the internet looking for any dirt they can find on the AFL? If so than your '5th statement' is easily the most hypocritical of the lot! Every person in here, YOU included have done that in this forum.

I think rl is almost non existent in Vic and S A and tassie ... Would not be at the same level as baseball in Vic ... Whereas AFL has a strong presence in qld and nsw.

I agree with you about SA and TAS but i do not agree with you on VIC. there has to be somewhat of a decent (although very small) presence in Victoria for a VIC born player to be in the Melb Storm first grade team, and also alot of the storm under 20s have come through the Victorian youth system (im not sure if its catholic or public high school youth system or club) and it has to be mentioned that RL has only been in VIC for no more than 15-20 years.

i cannot speak for QLD but i disagree with you that AFL has a strong prescience in NSW. AFL has been in NSW for 100 or so years (syd incl), its only strong presence would be in the south of the state bordering Victoria (roughly 200kms north) which is the least populated area. in the parts of NSW with large populations (sydney, wollongong and north of sydney metro) there is no real presence. take sydney for example, how many ACTUAL AF players are there in sydney? not using the AFLs 'participation' figures the actual registered players in sydney.. the figure would be very low.

Sorry 214 but I can't agree with u on syd here. As a registered player in the syd comp I can tell you there's at least 5 mens divisions as well as a premier division up and running fairly well. There's numerous teams in each division spread across a wide range of syd and beyond. Dunno how many players that equates to but it is quite established in my opinion.

There is one league of about a dozen clubs at best ... I think it is actually about 9, that covers all of Melbourne metro and Geelong. There simply isn't a large presence on Melbourne to be honest and I'm not just saying that in some code war thing. One league is very Small considering AFL has something like 5 on Sydney alone. Look it up for yourself 24 .. Vrl site.
