The AFL Melee - what why and how?

Post by King-Eliagh »

Howdy folks, its KE.

The AFL melee. Many have understandably asked before, what on Earth is it?

Well folks allow me to break it down for you. First enjoy my short 1min video presentation.

Now as the commentators state its "a little bumpy and little pushy" It's a gathering of grown men, holding onto and tugging at one anothers singlets, often vigorously enough to tear them off, while engaging in a form of intimate effeminate circling dance which looks awful. It's basically a dance which is at complete odds with masculinity, in fact I'd argue its a form of feminisation. Worse still, it's completely legal in the AFL. The commentators were basically blowing a few loads during this one minute clip and you'll hear one of them at the end say "you gotta love it". I mean what sort of men would say this? Why is the melee condoned and legal in the AFL? And what sort of example is it giving to the young boys watching?

Oh I know 'what' a melee is xman you confused buffoon. I've just accurately described to all and sundry what a melee is. I'm wondering about the why and how... :? And what sort of example this gives to young boys and men... :?

Fortunately in the 50 odd games of club marngrook I've been involved in there's not been one melee. There's been fisticuffs though, good ol fashioned masculine stoushes. Just fronting up and using ones closed fists to settle disputes which the umpire could not. None of this dance they do in the AFL. So this leads me to believe once again that the AFL is at fault for this feminising dance they call the melee. [-X

KE's posting quality continues to tumble, almost reaching Retardeddave levels.

How doucheworthy you are Xman. The thread and its title is in the format of an academic presentation. I presented the topic beautifully and posed questions for the audience. Unfortunately there's some dummies in this audience who struggle with....questions

Keep on truckin Xman, you're special! :thumbleft:

"Save there"? as I said, theres some dummies in this forum who struggle. Do keep trying Xman

And yes eels I agree, the melee is strange and unique to the AFL. Why do you think we see this effeminate activity occurring in what many Melbournians see as a tough and manly sport?? Do you think its the AFL's fault? Or something strange about Melbournians? Or both? Or something else entirely? :?

The melee is outlawed KE - they and the clubs get substantial fines so I don't know what ur on about? As for how it started - substantial penalties are handed out for fighting - but players and coaches still want their sides to fly the flag so to speak - no one likes it and I haven't seen one happen in a long while - isn't this dredging up something because you have nothing else and are clutching at straws KE? For someone who plays AF you sure have a dislike of the game - wouldn't you be better off playing RU, RL or soccer? We would prefer you did because if you have such a misinformed opinion to our game no doubt ur nothing but a waste of space on the field (I.e. a witches hat!)

Its outlawed? Really? Can you provide some proof cause ive never heard of this ruling. As for no one likes it I beg to differ on the way those commentators were blowin a few loads while they watched it. Sorry pal but these so called commentators were basically promoting the melee to all and sundry and I doubt they showed as much enthusiasm at any other point in their commentary.

Yes the rules against fighting ;) and again, yet another example of the AFL's stupidity in their decision making. The melee sends a terrible feminine and ludicrous message to anyone who see's it. Its down right shameful and its the afls fault they occur.

You might notice some time after your mind opens that I don't post anything suggesting I dislike the game swines. Its the dumbos down at AFL hq and fools such as yourself who I despise. Comprehende? ;)

First things first ... Ke doesn't play Aussie rules... Maybe he is involved as a sycophantic hanger on buy that's about it. What ever else he says is just pestering.

Secondly, swans was spot on, KE is just trolling again .... And deflecting from another successful AFL weekend. I'll ask this of all others like swans and x man ... Are you going to get sucked into this distraction ??? Ke is a good troll and indeed good at deflecting... Who is going to be his sucker??

Thirdly, ke, please ... A TAFE does not qualify you as an academic. If a student of mine had of come up with this "academic exercise" I would have just said ... Please try again and don't waste my time. Stick to Taft KE.... Lol

I would like to discuss the melee, I'm not trying to distract from a weekend where AFL teams played AFL teams and basketcasers played basketcasers. That's always gunna be a comparatively successful AFL weekend ya big dummy. And I'm ok with that.

Ahhh :?> I don't wanna go there so please retract this statement before I put in an abuse complaint to pies man and have you and anyone else who wants to be a part of what you're proposing suspended.
