Re: NRL record breaking start to year
Ratings on Nine are only up because of Thursday night games in the first 5 rounds. Nine's Sunday afternoon ratings have been horrible this year. Sunday's game last round had an audience of less than 1k in Adelaide.

Re: NRL record breaking start to year
I think it is good to see nrl crowds and membership grow ... Working off such a low baseline they needed to I think . Smart of nrl to quote percentages as 20 percent rise from say 10000 sounds better than a 2000 rise on attendance.

the VFL know their record is only due to extra games & in fact they are behind where they were just 2 years ago when adjusting this factor in
the NRL's is a record without assistance from extra teams
if they had played an extra 6 games
holy snappers ... how far ahead would they be with attendances & TV audiences =D> =D> =D>

Imagine if the AFL sold out like the nRL and had Monday night games and Thursday night games.
Fox ratings for nRL are only up because of Sunday night games.
nRL... sell outs.

I love the delusion of Dave's argument, which is basically "Turkmenestan's GDP growth rate was slightly higher than China's in 2012, therefore, LOOK OUT CHINA!"
You Turkmenestanis are a joke. Melbourne, one of the smallest clubs in the comp, during their worst form slump in a centuy, attracted 18k against an INTERSTATE TEAM last round. Parramatta can't even get 12k against Cronulla.
But yea, keep beleiving that Turkmenestan will be bigger than China one day. Keep chasing that rainbow guys.
