Should be interesting.Dank on Friday conducted an interview to be aired on ABC1's 7:30 program on Monday, with Stanton adamant his client would protest his innocence.

Re: DANK ON ABC 1 TONIGHT ON 7.30
Danks said he is innocent and that all Essendon coaching, medical staff and players knew exactly what his program involved.
Actually convinced me even more that the bombers will be ok.
Later tonight parent of the Essendon players met with the club to ask questions. Many came out and said they were confident the club acted appropriately.

If all that Dank did was innocent and with in the rules, then the whole thing has just been a media beat up.eelofwest wrote:Honestly heads need to roll if they have nothing.piesman2011 wrote:The inlaws turned up at 7:30 and I missed it. But he did admit to providing coaches at Essendon with supplements that would have resulted in a player being banned if they were drugs tested. ''Look, there was some difference obviously in what we offered the coaches,'' Dank said. ''Let's face it, the coaches themselves are not subjected to any WADA code.
''Look, to be perfectly honest, there were a couple of coaches that were using some supplements, if you like, that were a little bit outside the WADA code.
Looks to me like ol Danky boy said kinda the opposite to what our 'mod who doesnt read' Xman has suggested. What's up with that mod?

Let me teach you something here KE.
Many many commonly used medications and supplements used by non athletes are perfectly legal but banned for athletes under WADA policy. In fact your medicine kit probably contains a heap.
I know this probably gave you a mild erection but just take a cold shower there KE. Anyone with more than a few brain cells will know its a nothing story.

Is Essendon under the WADA policy?

Wow, you really are confused....King-Eliagh wrote:Is Essendon under the WADA policy?

Athletes are required to follow the law, AND WADA.
Non athletes, which includes all club coaches, support staff, fans, administration, and contractors are required to follow the law, but not WADA.

Re: DANK ON ABC 1 TONIGHT ON 7.30
Exactly. So it's highly suss the essendon coaching staff were receiving these drugs. Highly suss. Has herdy come out and admitted he's using them for personal purposes...like some drug dealer caught with his stash? If not, why not? Why have these coaching staff not put their hands up and said "its my bad, they're for 'perso' use only."
Highly suss given the 'win at all costs' attitude down essendon way...

Xman if you dont think this situation is highly suss then you are at odds with the vast majority of Aussie sports fans. Actually I've proven in the other thread that you're at odds with your own thoughts half the time. Is this just another example Xman?
Confused buffoon just doesnt cut it when describing how lost you are lately Xman. Pick up yer game!

The only thing suss is that they are under investigation so the finger of suspicion is on them. If Danks didnt do what he said, and gave them PED's despite saying he wouldnt then theyre stuffed. If he did what he said, and gave players what he told the entire club he would, theyre fine. The entire coaching and medical staff were involved. There's no way they would have agreed to PED's.King-Eliagh wrote:Xman if you dont think this situation is highly suss then you are at odds with the vast majority of Aussie sports fans. THE MANLY SEA EAGLES were on Tuesday told none of their players had tested positive to illegal substances.
Sea Eagles chief executive David Perry and chairman Scott Penn met with the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority on Tuesday afternoon and were informed that, while the club remained under investigation, none of their players - past or present - had tested positive.
The Sea Eagles confirmed it in a statement released on Tuesday night.
Manly were one of six clubs under investigation that met with ASADA officials on Tuesday but there remain more questions than answers just three weeks out from the start of the season.
