Suck it up leaguies. Got front page of the Daily Telegraph and Sydney Morning Herald again today.

Move aside NRL, Australia's Game rules.

the ratings in nsw will sky rocket in the grand final, i'm predicting around 1 million viewers in NSW alone, and after they see the great game Known as "AFL" they will realise how low budget and pathetic the NSWRL is

You can't seem to settle on a figure can you QldAFL? Didn't you write 1.5 mil in another post. Either way the sport that will get the higher ratings here in Sydney will be the NRL grand final not the AFL, relegating the AFL to where it belongs in the importance of sporting events in Sydney, behind the NRL.
That's a good boy, have a bet each way.QueenslandISAFL wrote:Game should peak at 1.5m, but it depends on how good sydney are going, but i'm predicting around 1mMarkZZZ wrote:QueenslandISAFL wrote:![]()

Going a little overboard arent you?enarelle wrote:Swans in the grand final and maybe even premiers surely the end of the NRL. Must be the first time ever a Sydney or Brisbane team has made the AFL GF because league would already be dead. Except I seem to recall it may have happened and still league battled on.
You mean their high point was when they had on field success? Wow, there's a revelation!enarelle wrote:No just pointing out the reality that the Swans making/winning grand finals did not change the fortune of either code in Sydney. Actually on reflection it did - the Swans went backwards in crowds,TV ratings and even memberships. The Swans high point was some years ago.
So based upon your logic, Melbourne being in the NRL GF should steal away some of that AFL media, especially considering only 1 melbourne team is in the AFL GF. Good point XMAN, enjoy the NRL GF. Get those ratings up in Melbourne for us =D>Xman wrote:Going a little overboard arent you?enarelle wrote:Swans in the grand final and maybe even premiers surely the end of the NRL. Fact is the Swans will steal some of the NRLs GF media in Sydney and the AFL GF will rate its socks off because for the first time in many years the game will involve teams from more than one city.
Ofcourse the storm will, but AFL does far better in nsw meaning whatever damange you guys do in victoria, we will do worse in NSWDogs wrote:So based upon your logic, Melbourne being in the NRL GF should steal away some of that AFL media, especially considering only 1 melbourne team is in the AFL GF. Sure it will. Difference being we don't care in Melbourne. Most Melbournians are fine with the storm getting some media. The code wars is the obsession of the Sydney media, and the code jealousy is almost exclusively Sydney RLs hatred of Melbournes AFL. You don't see media here complaining about the NRL. Why would we? Their almost irrelevant.Dogs wrote:So based upon your logic, Melbourne being in the NRL GF should steal away some of that AFL media, especially considering only 1 melbourne team is in the AFL GF.
