Blacktown Football Ground



The Football/Cricket ground at Blacktown International Sportspark was completed in 2009 and is the future headquarters of the Western Sydney Football Club (AFL). The ground has same dimensions as the MCG and has a total capacity of 10,000 including seating for 1,600 in the main grandstand which also includes corporate and function facilities and office space. Four light towers illuminate the ground to television broadcast standard.

But last night it was the legitimate GWS, the team they hope will be able to perhaps win a few games in 2012, maybe a premiership in a few years, but more importantly for now, win over the people of Sydney's Greater West. And the signs were encouraging with 7086 trying to make orange look fashionable on a night out.

7,086 is clearly more than a half full stadium when capacity is 10,000.
