Moving on to Iceland , found 3 AFCs and nil for rl.
Fridgeir Torfi Asgeirsson started Aussie Rules in Iceland on 20 May 2009 after himself having played in the Danish League (DAFL) for 3 season while studying in Denmark. Originally the trainings took place in a local park but after a decision was made to participate in the EU Cup, proper training grounds were found and the group has since grown into a 3 team league with around 50 players (as of July 2010).
Andspyrnusamband Islands (the Icelandic Australian Football League) governs footy in Iceland.
