David Gallop says today there will be no expansion for the NRL until at least 2015.

With 14 of the 16 current NRL clubs running at a loss and demanding more money up front just to stay afloat, you really do have to feel for poor Gallop as the CEO of a game going nowhere in this country. :_<> :_<> :_<>

yes we're doing it right this time .. while the AFL .. by 2015 will have wished it had never gone anywhere near Western Sydney
this money vacume cleaner of a franchise ( GWS) will have sucked 100 Million plus in just operating costs out of the AFL coffers
the Swans will be in recievership

Foxtel have already said they will not be bidding too much more than what they currently pay. How do you get from the current deal of $500 million to surpass the AFL's $1,253 Billion? Not possible.

& as I and David Gallop have said ... If Foxtel don't pay a substantial increase on their present outlay for the NRL
they will not get to broadcast the NRL

with all 3 FTA networks slobering over the prospect over covering our great game from 2013
& Foxtel being forced to come to their senses ( Foxtel would collapse if it were without NRL for a length of time )
the competitive tension will be extremely high in the middle of next year

.. going for another 30 million per year
& internet & online rights ... another 25 Million a year .... oh & the Kiwis tipping in 20 million a year

Teams like the raiders never get shown live on channel 9. He is in dream land if he thinks channel 9 is going to show rubbish teams like that on fta. Channel 9 only wants 3 games because there is only 3 good rating teams in the NRL.
