khunt ( the 'h' is slient...)

Post by Willis 21 »

Well, I have been travelling over the last couple of days ( sans internet...), and have missed the big kerfuffle regarding khunt's selection in the Aussie test team...( Funnily enough this has not been reported in the english edition Indonesian newspapers over here.... :? )

Firstly, the fact that he has even been selected is a joke...(What about Bowen,Hodgson,Rhys Wesser???), but secondly this nuffie is a freaking Kiwi who is born in NZ, and has fantasies about playing for the All Blacks one day....

The fact that he has turned his back on his countrymen is a joke...

I'm hoping he gets absolutely smashed by Wiki and co tomorrow night...

BTW - I hope the Aussies win a close one in front of a sell out crowd tomorrow night...

I know the AFL hacks here will be supporting their country tomorrow - something they can never do in their preferred sport...

Obviously you aren't aware of the All-Australian team in the International Rules series where all Aussies can get behind the best players in the AFL as they take on the Irish.

In any case, go Kangaroos tonight. These internationals are a bit of a joke though. No country is ever really competitive against Australia in rugby league. Waste of time really.

What is it with the Australian NRL playing 2 bit Island nations and pretending it is of some value...A good Tsunami would get rid of Tonga, Samoa and NZ and people would not worry!

It would also get rid of the mighty 12,000 people strong nation of Nauru... the only other country in the world where Aussie Rules ranks in their top 5 sports...

.
Yeah.. they get to see the best AFL players playing a totally different sport...

Thank god I can watch the best Rugby League actually playing RL, and not a game where it has to combine its rules with American Football, or Hurling...

And how many playing for NZ were actually Australians? Great result for internatinal rugby league too. I thought NZ were supposed to be somewhat competitive. You wouldn't know looking at a scoreline of 50-12.

What happened with the predicted sellout crowd? The game looked far from sold out with the top tier behind the goals completely empty. 44,191 is far from a sellout at Suncorp. 10,000 short actually. More Aussies watched Essendon vs Richmond at the MCG last night. I dare say the tv audience for the AFL would have been greater than the RL international too.

The RL test will be the No 1 watched show of the week in Syd and Brisbane...

Sydney averaged 700,000 for the two and a half hour telecast...
