1.48m total average viewers.
Highest rating game now in 2017 (by 80k, Anzac Day clash had 1.4m).
fairly good for a week 1 final, especially on a Thursday with no Melbourne team

Where have all those soo fans gone pissy cat? The nrlol games aren't exactly rating 3 million and grounds aren't exactly full for then thing else nrl
The Sunday game featuring last years grand final winners the sharks has only preside 4000 tickets after being already heavy discounted!
The nrlol has their usual main draw card playing tonite the news corp broncos to maximise ratings as well!
Again it will be another flogging for the nrlol

Embarrasingly for NRL...
Australian Open Men's Final beats all Origin games
AFL GF of course will (as always) top them all, though it won't be 3m metro.
If Richmond vs. Sydney then possibly!

Lie no 1
The impressive figures mean the 2017 State of Origin is the most-watched TV program of the year, beating the Australian Open's mens final by about 40,000 people.

& lie no 2
http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv- ... k1a71.html
βThe NRL grand final had many things the AFL grand final didn't: Jimmy Barnes, nationwide appeal, and in the end, way more viewers
Both 2015 seasons culminated in glitzy grand finals over the weekend and despite the AFL's big name international acts, it was rugby league that smashed it out of the park.
At its peak, a whopping 4.4 million people tuned in to the NRL grand final between the Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys on Sunday night - a new record for the league.
The figure is almost half a million higher than Saturday afternoon's clash between the West Coast Eagles and Hawthorn which peaked at 3.9 million.

Will be interesting to see the ratings comparison between the two games tonight.
When is storm on... will be interesting to see what that rates. Reckon it will do well in Melbourne

those NRL figures are a disaster! 264k for the Broncos is barely above their season ratings. And 326 for Sydney is almost half what the AFL got in Melbourne. What the hell is wrong with the NRL? Crowds down and ratings poor

actually a lot better than the Canberra-Cronulla friday night final last year - that was 504 for the entire metro.
but it didnt include the Broncos. Without them the NRL games really struggle to rate near 1m

The above is one of the reasons threads get clogged up
& yes ..I'm partly to blame
When blatant lies get posted by the same people over & over I ask for proof or show that they are 100% bullshit .
The lie then gets reposted again .
& on & on it goes
I've been asked not to continually go on with this
Yet the same people continually post utter shit .
So as long as it keeps getting posted I'll keep asking the question .
