the only reason why the NRLOL beats AFL in fox is because of the showing games in isolation, AFL having games being played and shown at the same time & over lapping! & fox have more exclusive games and along with C9 they still control the NRLOL fixture! the AFL has full control of everything & still got more more money!

buying a house as to a broadcast contract are totally different thing, one is a 5 or 6 year contract as to at least 10 to 20 years for a house

paying overs for something is some imaginary thing that you dweebs along with ROy masters dribble on about because your NRLOL got less


to suggest that networks payed several 100 million in overs for the rights is laughable & delusional at best from you jealous & bitter NRLOL lot
given the fact for negotiation for both contracts c7, c9 & fox & every other party involved brought people who thought were specialists in to negotiate the contracts!

as well as given the size of the contracts! the dying revenues in the traditional FTA and pay TV with different services available the networks have even less money floating about to suggest networks with specialists handling the contracts to make a mistake in paying several hundred million over for a product

I think you have to consider what fox was buying. They want subscribers and as fox doesn't or didn't have the uptake in AFL states it was a good way to get some penetration there's. Also, having Australia's biggest sport in that of AFL allows greater reach whereas nrl you are confined to nsw and qld for the main.
