The journo's clearly aren't listening then because negative stories are very common. The media spent most of last season complaining about the low scoring and defensive game style which is the opposite of what the AFL would want.
As for the MOU it wasnt just the AFL, and it only lasted 4 months

assuming players are guilty. The point of the MOU was so the police and AFL could investigate incidents involving players without a trial by media who often assume they are guilty without proper investigations.

The mindset of a fumblefan is a very strange thing .
No matter how morally wrong or just plain wrong a situation is they accept it or defend it if the morally bankrupt AFL see nothing wrong with it .
Hush money ..fine ..Gilty said it's ok yo pay hush money .
Players in trouble .
No probs we can investigate ourselves ....let the police know it's all under control & no need to get involved .

Oh dear .
Once again
That issue was addressed .
A whole Rl team was not kicked out .
The club was banned due to the behaviour of a few.
No police charges .
No laws broken
Just some sailing club rules .
No hush money to pay sexual assault victims .....200k is the benchmark in AFL ..& that was well over 15 years ago that amount was paid out
As for conspiracies .

It happened .
