Still ignoring my question .
I'll put it simply ..
Why do the haves continiuosly argue the have nots shouldn't get something .
& if you were one if the have nots would you still think the same ?
See if you can answer without waffling .
All that crap has nothing to do with your original post about 200k isn't enough for a team .
When shown you are wrong lol once again ..it's off with the bullshit. But but but but .
You are pathetic .
the have not's, in this case Hobart, have an insufficient population to support an AFL club in the current environment. If they had more people I'd be all for it
Lol bigger population than Geelong . Who you went into great detail why they should have a club .
Comedy genius or brainwashed cultist ?

The idea that we do – and are somehow being dudded – is a myth that should not go unchallenged.

To have any chance of establishing an AFL club, we would need a credible business case showing how it would be sustainable. And right now we wouldn’t have one.

Where are the businesses lining up to sponsor AFL in Tasmania; to provide the lion’s share of the roughly $40 million a year needed to run a club at the highest level?

The answer to that comes down to the market or rather the lack of one.

We don’t like to admit it but our economy and our population barely rate a mention from a national perspective, and relatively speaking both are declining.

What really hurts is our ageing population, with fewer younger people and greater competition for their time, particularly from other sports, such as soccer.

Consider too that most AFL fans in Tasmania are die-hard supporters of existing clubs, which means a new club here will be their second team at best.

Will they go to every home game and travel the country to away games?

a large proportion of Geelong supporters live in Melbourne. Geelong play home games in Melbourne.

Geelong is nothing like isolated Hobart

fuck you're thick.

The giants and suns are part of the AFL's expansion strategy into new areas which have the future potential to sustain a club. The fact they cost money to sustain now is fine because the AFL have sufficient income to use for expansion. Hobart is already an AFL region so it doesn't need expansion funds. It just doesnt have the population to support an AFL club. Even many Tasmanians know this

AFL fans who have been supporters of Aussie Rules pretty much since its first inception. Loyal fans pleading for there own club and continually being rejected . A regional team lacking in ratings and potential. Typical of the AFL. Money definately comes first here , there supporters a distant second. Half a million loyal fans live in Tasmania but but but the AFL would Rather pump $40 million a year into a city that couldn't give a fuck about AFL...

Lol because your answer was a deflection onto population .
Which I shot down by showing Hobart has a BIGGER pop than Geelong .

I've asked twice
You know what the question is .
Yet you deflect

your question is stupid and has been answered with multiple major points.
1. Hobart is a very small city.
2. Tasmanians already support current AFL clubs
3. A brand new club in Hobart will only gather minimal support
4. Tasmania's economy isnt up to financing a 40mil per season club

You carry on like this is some agenda against Tasmania, which is BS. IF Tasmania had a suitable population the AFL would put a team there in the blink of an eye. They dont, hence they wont get a team any time soon.

I posted an article from a Tasmanian who agreed with everything I said. He's a Tasmanian.....
