If the locals wanted the Titans, they would be buying memberships and attending games filling their stadium to capacity. If PNG wanted high profile games, they would be wanting the likes of Manly and Melbourne and not the Titans.

King-Eliagh, if you thought that was a set up you truly need to get out more and smell the coffee.
funny
shouldn't the Thuns being doing that too ? :-k
They don't need to. They, unlike the Titans, have enough local support to get by.

local support ? 8-[

if it weren't for the AFL's money .... they'd be broke already

Because when FTA RL games involving the Titans are shown, the Ratings are 4 times at least what the Lions or Thuns get on FTA TV.
Again assuming Brisbane is the Gold Coast. #-o

you only have to look at the ratings in Brisbane for both sides to get a guage
lets shall we .............
from this site
http://www.talkingfooty.com/tv_ratings_2011.php

Rnd 5 Titans V Cowboys

225K .... you'd think 25% would be from the Coast ... 50K or so
Rnd 6... V Tigers
250K .... another 60K from the Coast

& this is only a guess of course , but I'll apply it to Thuns ratings in Brissie too .. I mean why would it be any different right ?

Rnd 2... their opening game V Carlton
92K............ so about 23K watching from the Coast , 8-[ :-k

Rnd 3 V Western Bulldogs ...
48K ....... so about , 12K

geez ......... lets find something a bit meatier to try n make this fairer eh
Rnd 7 V the Lions
102,000... phew ..... 25K at least

so how'd that compare with the Titans playing the Broncos
Rnd 2
ah.. 8-[ ..... 315,000 , 75K from the Coast

see what we're talking about here singletballers
adjust the figures anyway you want

Beaussies absurd assumption or assertion that the Titans may not attract as many veiwers as the Thuns
has been proved to be the thinking of someone near certifiable ... its the domain of a nutjob
the thuns are handed their dates on a platter on TV every week by the Titans .... because RL is the more popular sport on the coast .... by a mile.

More assumptions. There is no way of knowing the tv ratings for the Gold Coast simply because they are not available. Crowds, membership numbers, sponsorship/corporate dollars, merchandise sales etc etc demonstrate the dominance of the Suns against the Titans on the Gold Coast... so much so that the Titans are considering a move to PNG. Says it all really.

the figures from Brisbane are there

whats unreasonable about 25% of these reflecting veiwers from Gold Coast ?
is 10% more your style ?

are you saying that no one from Brisbane watches the Thuns ( including when they play ... Brisbane 8-[ #-o )
so all of the these veiwers are from the Gold Coast ? :-k
its not hard to corrolate even if the exact figures aren't known
you don't need to be an enstein.... or even a brain dead gimp like you ... to work it out

spin it anyway you want you BS artist
giggleball is poohed on from a Great Height from the Tweed .. to Cape York by the NRL.. in the sunshine state

Oh dear, geography lesson for our silly Raider.... Brisbane is not the Gold Coast. It's like suggesting Wollongong or Newcastle are Sydney. You're a fucking stupid.

I just love how you NRL fools think you can compete with the AFL juggernaught. Your code is a joke and is not supported by the majority and is a poor excuse for a game.

Raiderdave, Gold Coast is not a part of Brisbane. This is a fact. Stop lying. And add crowd attendances to your consideration and you will see a serious problem for RL.

No, I said there is no way to determine the Gold Coast ratings when they are part of the Brisbane ratings. Gees, how thick are you? Your assumptions based on your made up percentages are unsupported. End of story.

No it's TV ratings are not. Gold Coast is regional Queensland, not metropolitan Brisbane. Stop lying.

Bearsey, the king of spin.

Metro ratings in QLD for AFL = Good, Metro for RL in QLD = non existent.
