I played a whole game with broken ribs once but to be fair whilst the hit hurt ... Bending down to get the ball both hands from centre bounce coming off wing and a mate gets me fair and square right in the side... Came from my blind side .... The adrenalin sore me okay for rest of game ... Kicked one of the best goals of my life too ... And there weren't that many lol ...but boy I could move my left arm or right the next day. Here is the kicker ... Played a game if mixed indoor netball in that pain .... Boy did that bloody hurt trying to raise my arm lol.

Its a bit dated but page 33 (or 12 if you read the page number that is attached to the page) shows that hospitalisation numbers per 100,000 participants are about the same for RL as AR

Sorry thought you were talking about the AF club - yeah Churchill had a side as did Sale, Bairnsdale, Moe, Maffra and Morwell - Traralgon was the only town that didn't which was strange as it was the largest town. Wasn't a bad comp but only Morwell ever won it - apparently all the clubs that survived became union clubs - there was a big islander population in the valley due to the electricity plants which they preferred union to league. The ground for Churchill was at the Uni wasn't it??

No, it was in Latrobe road near the cricket ground there. We used to train there when they were fixing our ground up with a resurface

Off topic folks,
Please, take it to pms and see if you pair brushed lips in a melee back in 91.
Thanks.
