aamii stadium, they cant have etihad because the AFL has claimed it, and why would they want etihad if only 15 thousand people will be in the crowd.

Hahaha, as if the NRL could fill Etihad for the Storm in a preliminary final. They are struggling with tickets sales for AAMI Park as is.

They played at etihad in 09 against the Broncos & only got 27,000 so I guess thats why they are still playing at AAMI park.

Imagine if they played at the MCG & nearly got a sellout like the Swans are going to get in Sydney.

2UE reporting ticket sales thus far as:

50,500 for Canterbury vs South Sydney

Nearly 20,000 for Melbourne vs Manly

54,000 for Sydney vs Collingwood

That's only because AAMI Park is such a $hit venue! You only have to look at the State of Origin crowd at Etihad to see that it'll pull more!

that crowd was filled with new south wales and queensland fans, what person in victoria would cheer for queensland or nsw?

The joke surely is that this is a contest between the two biggest NRL teams playing in the second biggest game of the year V a foreign imported team (Swans) that is shuned by many in Sydney and a Victorian side playing in a foreign area which hates the sport according to many on this site.

The only comparision I can think of is, the Storm out rating Collingwood V Essendon on Melbourne TV. It would never happen.
