And did you delete those images of nikki webster for the shame she put on dale thomas?
RL would never steal players from other codes would they!

union ?

these codes players fit each other .. there was a far more valid reason for our code to offer a paying gig to players from this code who couldn't earn anything
& it has nothing to do with promotion & cheap shots from us aimed at them ..
we weren't in a code war with rugby, we weren't trying to expand into their territory .. we'd beaten them 80 years before

the fact is we wouldn't buy a player for a Million a year ... who can barely grasp any of the skills required in our game let alone play it at the highest level ... as it would be ludicrous in the extreme
which is pretty much what this farcical situation with Ima Khunt & Izzy Failnow is
its a sick joke.... pretty much like the sport they're playing

RL SOO I 4.068 Million

It's served the purpose it was designed to do: promote media interest, market the game to new markets, show the potential to a few different ethnic groups....it's done all this and more. as proven by the fact that we are still talking about it two years later.

The sporting culture in both heartlands is strong enough to warrant actions like this to accelerate the development of the game. It takes generations to impact these cultures. The AFL had the cash to try something different. They deserve applause for lateral thinking. =D> =D>

They will no doubt get ridicule from RL supporters such as yourself, just like fireworks and dancing girls will fail to make the difference to non RL markets. but for people in NSW and QLD who are not set on either sport the increase in media attention is well worth it. the proof will be in the results in crowds and memberships and so far the sun's results speak for themselves in the tough sporting market of the GC.

Oh the ridiclulous experiment is not only ridiculed by NRL supporters Xman. AFL supporters with some clout, decency and intelligence have exactly the same opinion. A mockery of the sport. A fantasy of epic proportions, a fairytale which will never come true being played out in reality in front of all and sundry to see, speculate over, and in the end realise what a disgrace it was.

You're one of the slow ones Xman

Your man Khunt is gunna let you down big time! Someone! Please drop the coin for Xman

Beaussie! Drop the coin dammit! Your Xman needs guidance. I've tried but he just doesnt realise that the worst ever player to play in the AFL comp, who is actually paid one of the highest salaries ever is not actually a good thing but in fact a disgrace and a mockery of all those who are professional players in their own right.

All opinion, and all your opinion. I have not seen any significant criticism of his recruitment or resigning other than a few disgruntled NRL fans.

Suck it up boys.

I'm enjoying the farce on this site. Its clearcut and simple to see the farce that is his signing for another 3 years. I do though feel sorry for all the suns listed players who sit on the bench week in wek out knowing they could do a better job than the Khunt. I also feel sorry for the plyers in the starting side copping bad delivery, having to defend and cover Khunts opposite player for him and losing games they would win with a half decent player taking his spot. I also feel for those in the lower grade who are playing excellent footy and missing a chance to be on the suns list because the AFL's supercedes its main product.

But in here, seeing I take the smarter nrl folks side, its simply hilarious.

I haven't seen one sports commentator or columnist, AFL or otherwise, that has questioned his signing for another 3 years.

Your on your own chump.

Yes they're not all enlightened or brave enough to point out the blundering mistake made by the AFL org. And why would they when many are employed by the AFL. But whether they say it or not, whether they're conscious of it or not, deep down we all know there's a good chance the Khunt will continue to be a miserable failure on the field. How woeful that would be.

Round six Xman, mark it down in your diary, we can further assess then matey. :D

Israel Folau's value to Greater Western Sydney always needed to have more depth to it than just his name, according to the club's chief executive David Matthews.
It needed him to show the doubters this seemingly crazy experiment - at an estimated $6 million price tag - was justified by his deeds on the football field.
The hand he played in teammate Rhys Palmer's goal to seal their first win at the elite level - a 13-point victory over the Gold Coast at Albury on Saturday - and the powerful contested marks he took against Hawthorn the week before show he has the skills to cut it in the AFL.
Fellow rugby league defector Karmichael Hunt is also starting to develop, meaning the AFL's raids on NRL talent could continue.
''He's surprised a lot of people because he's developing at potentially a more rapid rate than many people would've expected,'' Matthews said.
''The best PR of all is the guys being successful on field. People talk about the publicity associated with it but there's no better publicity than watching him take the marks he took against Hawthorn or see his chip over the top to Rhys Palmer to kick the sealer on Saturday. He's the dimensions of [Hawthorn star] Lance Franklin, he's only 22 years of age, he's just completed his first pre-season, he's just a remarkable athlete.''
Looks like the RL converts have a number of fans, not just me. :P
