King-Eliagh, if you thought that was a set up you truly need to get out more and smell the coffee.
funny
shouldn't the Thuns being doing that too ? :-k
They don't need to. They, unlike the Titans, have enough local support to get by.

Bahahahaha.

Their crowds will fall next season regardless of how they go as they will not be shiny and new.

And their TV ratings are miles and miles and miles behind the Titans.

The Suns were expected to be garbage this season so people knew what they were getting, the Titans were expected to be a top 4 side again and from the start, they were garbage, people will only put up with garbage for so long esp if they are expected to do well. If they aren't expected to do well, you see less of a drop off usually. One thing RL fans have in common, we will not put up with mediocrity like our southern cousins and ignore everything in front of our noses like AFL fans do in regards to the way the people running the game absolutely screw over certain teams for the benefit of others.

I would stop following RL if other teams got concessions like the Lions and Swans had and these two new teams will have, it's pathetic.

I guess RL fans are smart and AFL fans are sheep who will follow and do whatever the cult of Vlad and co say.

If RL fans were smart they'd tell their leaders to stop being lazy. Your arrogance is your downfall as it blinds you from the truth.

You have Gold Coast specific tv ratings (not Brisbane tv ratings) to make that assumption? Didn't think so. More lies posted as fact. What is with you pathetic throwball fans. #-o

So let me get this right. The people of the Gold Coast knew the Suns would struggle or as you put it have a "garbage season" whilst the Titans were expected to be a top 4 side. From this, the people overwhelmingly picked the Suns over the Titans and the AFL dominated the NRL in crowds, membership numbers, sponsorship dollars and merchandise sales. Nice logic there. Cheers.

But you support the News Ltd owned NRL despite $11 million+ annually taken out of the NRL clubs pockets and given to the loss making News Ltd owned and operated Melbourne Storm. You're an idiot with statements like the above. #-o

Exactly my point. How would you determine what people on the Gold Coast are watching when the numbers are confused with Brisbane. Going by actual support on the ground through crowds, membership numbers and corporate support/sponsorship... it's clear the AFL owns the Gold Coast.

Because when FTA RL games involving the Titans are shown, the Ratings are 4 times at least what the Lions or Thuns get on FTA TV.
